Pediatric Oncology
Basic Information
The Department of Pediatric oncology was eastablished and became fully functional from September 2022. We treat hematological malignancies and solid tumors between 0 – 18 years old children. Our team comprises of pediatric oncologist , trained nurses and social worker. We have a dedicated nutritional support team provided by a notable NGO in Mumbai.
Cancer treated in the Pediatric oncology:
- 1. HEMATOLOGICAL MALIGNANCIES
- – Acute leukemia
- – Lymphoma
- 2. SOLID TUMOR
- – Wilm’s tumor
- – Neuroblastoma
- – Hepatoblastoma
- – Bone tumor
- a. Osteosarcoma
- b. Ewing’s sarcoma
- – Rhabdomyosarcoma
Facilities / Procedures Available in the Department :
- Diagnosis of oncology disorders in children.
- Counselling
- Chemotherapy administration – Day care – IPD
- Bone Marrow aspiration and Biopsy , Lumbar Puncture with Intrathecal Chemotherapy.
- Blood Transfusion
- Venous access – PICC line insertion – Chemoport insertion
- Supportive care & neutropenic care.
